Barbara Mikrut (Media Developer/Sales Trainer):

One of the great features of the Sharp AQUOS BOARD is PowerPoint integration. If we open up a new PowerPoint, you see here, I have a PowerPoint about the AQUOS BOARD and you start from the beginning. We have a toolbar that appears on the top of the screen. This toolbar is part of Pen Software 3.0. It integrates along with PowerPoint to help you drive your presentation along.

Barbara Mikrut stands in front of an Aquos board and opens a PowerPoint presentation. A PowerPoint with an Aquos board picture pops onto the screen and there is a tool bar on the top right of the screen. She points at the tool bar.

Now you can use the arrows in this toolbar to move back and forth within your presentation or you can use the mouse icon to use your finger or a pen as a clicker to move forward. You can also return by using the arrows.

She presses the left and right arrows on the tool bar to switch between the slides. She selects the mouse icon and then presses on the screen with her finger to move to the next slide. She picks up the pen and taps on the screen. This screen switches to the next slide. She then presses on the left arrow using the pen to go back to the previous page.

Now, if you wanted to make any annotations up on the screen, you can use the pen tool here and you can write in different colors. If I tap on the pen there, you'll see that different colors appear. Let's choose the color red.

She clicks on the pen icon in the tool bar and selects the red option in the pop out color menu.

From here, I'll be able to make annotations up on the screen. Maybe I want to make a circle around interactive display system because that's what the AQUOS BOARD is, right? Or maybe I'd like to draw an additional uh circle around the three button pen.

She draws a circle around the words, “Interactive Display System” and then around the pen that the man in the picture is holding.

From here, I can go ahead and move forward in the presentation and make additional annotations here. So the AQUOS BOARD is multi-user multi touch and offers collaboration.

She uses the right arrow in the tool bar to go to the next slide and draws three red lines on the slide.

Here we have some photos of collaboration up to four people using the AQUOS BOARD at once and 10-point touch capability.

She motions to the pictures on the screen.

Now, at any point in this presentation, I may go back into pen software by tapping on this icon right here with a little pen and whiteboard mode uh and write more notes within whiteboard mode in pen software. And then I can toggle back into the presentation by just tapping that icon there. You see, now I've returned and I can continue presenting.

She taps on the pen on whiteboard icon and the screen switches to an empty graph screen. When she taps on the icon again, she returns to the presentation.

Uh I don't have to use a laser pointer or anything like that. I can actually drive this presentation with my finger or a pen. I can make annotations and I can erase them as well. I have an eraser here to erase annotations straight from there.

She clicks the eraser icon and erases the three lines she drew on the slide.

Now, if you're finished with your Power Point presentation, you can tap on this icon at the very end and here a little prompt will appear and it will ask you, do you want to keep or discard your ink annotations? We'll go ahead and keep them.

She taps on the right-most icon in the tool bar and there is a pop up that asks if the user wants to keep the annotations. She selects the “keep” button.

Now you'll see our first slide. You can go ahead and save these annotations into the native PowerPoint file and use it for later reference. So as you can see the integrated toolbar in PowerPoint helps you drive your presentation and lets you toggle between pen software and PowerPoint.

She clicks on the first slide of the PowerPoint presentation.
